Waxahachie Care is a faith based organization that is not affiliated with any particular church. We are, however, supported with food and monetary donations by over 26 churches in this area. Waxahachie CARE provides counseling/referrals, food, toiletries, and financial assistance. Counseling with clients is designed to ensure an effective delivery of assistance. Food is provided through our in-house food pantry service. Financial assistance, based on availability, is primarily to help with utilities, rent, gas, elderly needs, transportation needs. Bill payment days are Mon & Thursday 9 to 2 p.m. Please call to find out all the paperwork you need to bring and how many copies of the bills you need.
Financial support for this work comes from individuals, churches, Sunday school classes, local businesses and the United Way of West Ellis County.
Some services we provide in addition to food and utilities:
Counseling, budgeting, bikes, community service, volunteerism, special needs of those on disability or over 65, elderly needs, some special medical needs, referrals to other agencies that may be able to help them, food stamp coordinator twice a month, help with paperwork weatherization if TXU and you own your own home, Reliant Energy aide for all of Ellis County, TXU for the south area of Ellis county., Waxahachie Water Fund.
